76th Annual Long Beach Rodeo

We will be having our 76th Rodeo in 2023.

The Peninsula Saddle Club presents the 76th annual Long Beach Rodeo on July 29th and 30th, sponsored by Woody’s Septic Service. A must-see, real American Rodeo for the entire family!

With a parade on Friday evening at 6:30 PM going though downtown Long Beach, launching the weekend festivities. Don’t miss Saturday’s famous Cowboy Breakfast served from 7 AM to 11 AM in the clubhouse.

The Northwest Professional Rodeo kicks off at 1 PM. The gate opens at 11 AM. It will feature top cowboys and cowgirls in the northwest competing in Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Breakaway Roping, Calf Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Barrel Racing. A new event has been added to the 76th Annual Rodeo, Wild Cow Milking.

Ayrianna Walters has been crowned the 2023 Rodeo Queen. Ayrianna and herheart horse, Dolly, have won some amazing awards. Last year, while in High School they competed on the Washington State High School Equestrian Team where Ayrianna was nominated Captain. Ayrianna and Dolly placed in the top five in the District and then went on to compete at State where they placed in the top three. Aside from riding horses, Ayrianna is a volunteer firefighter in Nemah and a fulltime barista.

The SunSation Rodeo Flag Team will perform again at this year’s rodeo. The equestrian drill team out of Yakama, Washington was a huge hit during the 2022 rodeo with many spectators asking to see them again. SunSation Rodeo Flag Team will perform on both Saturday and Sunday.  

William ‘Bull’ Demers will be announcing. He will be joined by Uncle Woody as this year’s rodeo clown!

“Family Night” will start directly after the bull riding on Saturday afternoon. Kids will compete at Barrel Racing – Stick Horse Style and participate in other arena games. Free and fun for the whole family. Kids of all ages are welcome to ‘compete’. Hangman and a two more horse back game after the kids are done with there games.

You won’t want to miss the delicious food items, which will be served all day, and drop in on the beer garden, to quench your rodeo thirst. Then take a gander around at all the other vendor booths selling jewelry, cowboy hats, and fun stuff for the the kids young and old. There will also be souvenir t-shirts and sweatshirts on sale.

Be sure and come back bright and early on Sunday morning (7 AM), for another renowned Cowboy Breakfast and to watch the overflow cowboys and cowgirls run in Slack til the rodeo begins.

The excitement starts all over again with the Sunday show starting at 1 PM. With royalty returning and the drill team putting on a spectacular display.

It’s a family focused weekend, that brings out the cowboy in an entire town. Around every corner are smiling faces dressed in cowboy boots, hat, and kerchiefs. Even the parade is open to impromptu riders. The only requirement is western attire.

Pre-sale tickets may be purchased in advance at Long Beach Pharmacy. You may also purchase tickets at the rodeo grounds, located at 6407 Sandridge Road. Adults $20, Seniors $15, Children 6-12 $10 and children 5 and under are free. Parking is free.

Military and First-Responder Day is Sunday, tickets $1.00 off with ID.
